What an amazing spot. They hand cut and fry their own potato chips that are mind blowing then they had a pork belly ban mi special that was absolutely delicious. The service is quick. I really like the fact that you are welcome as soon as you open the door. I also really enjoy the fact that you can get a Frico style sandwich, which is a cheese shell rather than bread. I think that's pretty awesome. The place is pretty casual, easy-going very welcoming, and they have free samples where you can taste their different spreads and try their chips which are awesome. I would've posted pictures, but the food was too damn good.

I live in the Seattle area but have been following Meltz for a few months on Facebook and finally was in Spokane so I took a drive to North Idaho today to try one of their sandwiches. The decor is industrial with lots of corrugated metal and your food comes on a metal tray as well. I read the menu ahead of time online and decided I wanted the Huckleberry Heaven but when I got to the shop, it was no longer on the menu. So I decided to try the We Be Jam 'In which is roasted turkey, lots of melty cheeses, black pepper bacon jam, roasted tomatoes and basil pesto. I only got a half sandwich and it was plenty. They had a sample of their three chips/dips at the front counter and the artichoke, ancho pesto & pickled pepper was my favorite, although all were good. The sandwich was warm and melty and incredibly delicious. It melted in my mouth and the bacon jam was incredible. The employee taking our order was so sweet and conversational and the guys making the sandwiches were nice as well. It's well worth the amazing reviews on Yelp and I can't wait to visit again and try different sandwiches.

Really good food. Small so a little crowded but I enjoyed not to bad. Not sure if I'll ever be back but I would rerecommend.

Me and my beautiful brother Jaquavious ventured into this wonderful facility. We strolled up to the counter, taking in the beautiful sights. We are two black individuals, often judged. I felt the kindness as i walked in here. My brother and I often interlock pinkies to stay connected. Not now.... We felt welcomed, safe... A beautiful feeling, as we searched the menu we found exactly what we wanted. Regular grilled cheeses, as our mom used to make us when we were children as dad had his hands up in the air as he was going to get us more milk. He never came back... Typical. Anyways we got some DELICIOUS cheeses. I stuck my finger in the gooey... melty cheese that gave me a tingle. Down the spine... I devoured it, my brother scarfed his down in moments. He enjoyed the cheesy delight. Thank you. Thank you meltz.

I came at 7 PM on a Friday and there were several people waiting for food. The menu was quite overwhelming and everything sounded great so I just ordered a buffalo chicken melt situation. I ordered a half and got a cookie and drink too, which was nice to see they had a lot of cream soda options! They made the sandwich after I ordered so it took a bit of time, but it came out hot and fresh. There was a lot of cheese, chicken, and some fun chunks of celery that was a good texture and didn't detract from the sandwich as much as I was worried it may! The shop itself is fast casual, with plenty of seating when I was there but I opted to grab it to go. Would definitely recommend for some creative melt sandwiches!

This was a definite visit to grilled cheese heaven. There were so many ways to enjoy the gooey delight of this simple sandwich, raised to a high pedestal. My selection, the Huckleberry Heaven, was an intense symphony of flavors, with the richness of the beef short rib and the sweet tanginess of the huckleberry BBQ sauce, all surrounded by the creamy blanket of sharp cheddar cheese. Perfection!

Food was amazing. Service is quick. The ambiance was casual and busy. We all loved everything. Every bite was a flavor explosion! Crispy outside, gooey inside! The place is small but they do have some seats outside.

I love cheese! I liked that this menu had a lot of unique things to try. I liked that they offered half versions of things so I could have more of a variety. The short rib huckleberry had such a good sweet and savory balance. I liked the unique pot sticker grilled cheese (although I expected something besides a sandwich for some reason). The chips were crunchy and had good seasoning and I recommended the blackened Brie and grilled onion dip. Ambience was normal fast casual similar to other sandwich places.

Oh my gosh. I've heard about this place before but I've never been. Grilled cheese to me are lazy cook days so you grill up a quick grilled cheese and some condensed tomato soup for the kids and call it good. What can be so special about a grilled cheese right?!?! Well this little hole in the wall attached to a gas station place has forever changed my perception of the potential of a grilled cheese/toasted cheese sandwich. I got the Korean clucker and there was so much on it. It was a bit intimidating but wow every single bite was packed full of flavor. My partner got the Cuban which was absolutely mouth watering my delicious. We also got some of the house made chips which were some of the best I've ever had and a side of some spicy artichoke dip. I left feeling a little uncomfortable I was so full. I can see why everyone loves this place!
